How do I know its not a scam

Gravity Credit Management Limited (NZBN: 9429039235473) has been active in the debt collection industry for over 20 years. Our managing director, Andrew Kingstone, is a registered Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience and is currently the chairman for Chartered Accounts New Zealand and Australia CAANZ – CFO & Finance Leaders special committee interest group. 

Gravity Credit Management Limited is the official collection agency for Smart Parking Limited. 

I didn’t receive prior notices

Please be advised that notices are sent to the contact details that NZTA have on file for the vehicle. It is your responsibility to ensure the address listed with NZTA for the vehicle is updated and correct at all times. 

I was not the driver

In order to assign the debt to another party you will have to complete a Statutory Declaration and have this signed off by a Justice of the Peace. A template can be found here. You will need to include the relevant details and contact details for the person you assign the debt to. Once this has been done please submit all evidence in the dispute section. Failing that you as the vehicle owner will be held liable.

I was a patron at the establishment

Please provide evidence of spend, so we can send this through to SCM for consideration. This can be done in the inquiry / evidence section. If no evidence is provided, the fine will still be enforced. 

I have already paid this

We consolidate payments received on a daily basis. If you used the wrong reference number it might not be allocated to your file. Please provide proof of the payment in the inquiry / evidence section. Once we have found your payment and allocated it to your file, we will notify you that the case is closed. Up to that point it will still be upheld. 

What will happen if I decide not to pay

If you do not pay this may have a negative impact on your credit rating. This can affect your ability to raise finance, find a job or rent a property. Legal action may also be commenced against you without further notice which can result in the debt being deducted directly from your salary/wages and/or bankruptcy against you. We will continue to try to contact you as long as we are collecting the debt.
